02 JUL 07 - Mike's side trip to the Arctic Circle

Mike left Bruce behind in Fairbanks and made a 3AM dash to Coldfoot and back, 500 miles and 16 hours.



The middle 350 miles are on the rugged Dalton Highway, "some" of it is paved.



Wildflowers grow everywhere.



More flowers next to the 48" oil pipeline which flows 5-7MPH at 120F (4" of insulation).



Thank goodness for rest stops near the E. L. Patton Yukon River bridge.








After returning to Arkansas, Mike had a "short" ride to Michigan and back. Total mileage for the Summer: 15,280 miles.
