14 SEP - Blue Ridge, GA to Corinth, MS

A rainy day with neither OJ nor Mike taking any pix.

We left the Days Inn [Blue Ridge, GA] without its continental breakfast, but stopped quickly at Mickey D's so OJ could replace his stop LED after Mike saw it failing on occasion. Tough to beat another steak bagel.

The road west to Chatsworth, GA was a nice twisty and we arrived at 10AM before "Edna's" [RoadFood] opened for lunch. We continued northwest as it began to rain. It poured all thru Chattanooga, TN. The weather cleared for a bit southwest thru Huntsville, AL and west to Mussel Shoals, AL. As we pushed to Corinth, MS, it poured again with a little lightening in the distance. We stopped for the night at an EconoLodge that OJ used last year on his trip home. The rain was relentless, so we dashed across the street to a "Waffle House" where the waitress experimented in making Mike some onion rings battered with sweet waffle mix. Not bad... and she didn't charge us. Long day finished up with a little Canadian Mist.
